Prayer to put on the armor of God
Dear God,
I ask you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth (the true Messiah) to protect __________ from every device of the enemy. As spoken in your Word (Ephesians Chapter 6) I ask you God to place your armor on them. I believe that as ___________ wears this Spiritual armor it will keep them safe from all harm. Ephesians 6:10-17: Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore (___________), having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
I ask that you would protect ____________ and be their shield and buckler. Psalms 18:2: The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Proverbs 30:5: Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Using scripture I can help fight the battle for _____________. They can have victory through Jesus Christ, who is the Word of God. John 1:14: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Revelation 19:13: And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
I will not be afraid, because you have not given me the spirit of fear – but of power, love, and a sound mind. II Timothy 1:7: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. I commit ___________ to you, God, and I believe that you will keep them safe; because your Word says that you will keep that which I have committed unto you. II Timothy 1:12: For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
I believe and trust you, God, with the one(s) I love. In accordance to your Word, Isaiah 54:17, which states: “no weapon that is formed against thee (___________) shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. John 10:10 also tells us …I (which is Jesus) am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. So I claim that ___________ has life and has life more abundantly. Psalm 118:17: I (___________) shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
From this day forward, I thank you Lord Jesus that you have heard and answered my prayers. I know that you have already petitioned God on behalf of ___________. I John 5:15: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
I have spoken God’s Word over ___________ and I know that God’s Word is true. I know that ___________ is safe because God is with them, and I give God all the glory forever, Amen!
