We receive God’s blessings when we ask Jesus Christ into our heart, but what many do not understand is that unclean objects in our homes are blocking us from receiving God’s further blessings. As Christians, it is our responsibility to remove everything from our home and life that is an abomination to God. Though we may not have bowed to the unclean cursed items in our homes scripture says the generations who did not bow will still be visited with the iniquity of their ancestors, who did bow. Just becausewe ourselves have not bowed to these pagan replicas this does not mean we can have these spiritually unclean and cursed images (as many Christians have misinterpreted). In Exodus 20:4 and Deuteronomy 5:8 it is clear that Christians are not to manufacture, have, or bow; and just because we do not bow does not mean we can disregard this part of the verse. Exodus 20:4: Thou shalt not make unto thee (for yourself) any graven image, or any likeness (manufactured images and pictures) of anything that is in heaven above… Exodus 20:5 and Deuteronomy 5:9: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me. The Hebrew word for ‘iniquity’ in Exodus 20:5 and Deuteronomy 5:9 is “avon, aw-vone’; or avown; perversity, i.e. (moral) evil… mischief, punishment (of iniquity), sin”. John 14:15: If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:21: He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Christians are giving Satan and his evil spirits legal right to continue a pattern of iniquity and temptation in their family by portraying things in their home that are pagan (and are replicas of what their ancestors may have reverenced, or perhaps bowed to). I hope that you will at least pray about this because your children’s Spiritual future could be at stake! Hosea 4:6: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Because of what Jesus Christ did for us we are all priests for the Lord! I Peter 2:9: But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an Holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Satan does not want God’s people to know they have cursed things in their homes, and churches, that he and his evil unclean spirits are hiding behind. If you do not believe items can be cursed look at Deuteronomy 7:26: Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing. Deuteronomy 23:14: For the Lord thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee. I Chronicles 16:26 and Psalm 96:5: For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord made the heavens. Joshua 6:18: And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing lest ye make yourselves accursed when ye take of the accursed thing and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it. Jeremiah 7:30: For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to pollute it. Jeremiah 32:34: But they set their abominations in the house, which is called by my name, to defile it. Numbers 33:52: Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places. II Corinthians 6:16-17: And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. I John 5:21: Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen. I Thessalonians 1:9: For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God. Please do not take it to the extreme and begin throwing away everything in your home (or church) assuming all the objects may be cursed. As Christians, there needs to be a balance in everything we do. We need to be careful not to go to the extreme or people will not listen to us regarding any cursed objects that may be in their homes. By our saying too much; or saying too little, others will continue to keep their cursed objects, then Satan and his evil spirits will be able to keep their foothold by keeping their hiding places. We must ask God for His Wisdom in this and all matters. James 1:5: If any of you lack wisdom. Let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. We must search the history (origin) of the objects that are in our homes and churches, comparing that history to what the Bible says concerning objects (images/idols) of false religion. Do not compare it with man’s tradition, but with the Word of God (the Bible). I Chronicles 16:26 and Psalm 96:5: For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.
Important Note: Satan does not want his things removed. He may try and stop you with thoughts of fear and doubt (or possibly through the negativity of other people). This alone should convince you of the importance of removing these unclean objects. After all, if having these things did not matter it would not raise such a stink when you get rid of them. Usually when Satan knows you are going to get rid of them, and he cannot stop you, then he will try to make you go overboard and get rid of everything. You must only get rid of the things that the Holy Spirit is leading you to get rid of – He will guide you in all truth. John 14:16-18: And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. John 14:26: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. When cleaning out your house do not go overboard and begin thinking everything is bad, or go around telling others their stuff is bad. You must pray for wisdom and direction before you begin sharing this message with others. God has a time for everything and you must not get ahead of God. You must keep a balance in everything you do. A person who has a lot of unclean objects in their home may feel overwhelmed when they begin removing them; however, you need to remove the objects anyway and in time you will be able to think clearly, understand the Word better, and pray!
We must never take scripture lightly or think that because we are Christians any cursed objects in our homes (or churches) are no longer an abomination to God. God will not make cursed objects clean just so Christians can have them. God will not go against His Own Word. Do not reject the knowledge of God’s Word, the Bible. If you ignore what God’s Word says concerning this matter, then the devil knows he has you blinded. It is my prayer that after you have read this Satan and his evil spirits will no longer have a hiding place in your home. Praise God! Remember the Lord is balanced and he expects us to keep a balance too.
There are certain items that Christians traditionally have, but these items do not line up with scripture. Why is it that because something seems so spiritual, or looks like what we think would be heavenly, Christians just automatically assume God is pleased. Can we find it in the Bible? Do we even bother to look? Or do we just say it has always been this way, this is the way my family believed, so this is what I believe. Where do these traditions come from?
A very important question for you: Is there sin in your camp? Look at Joshua 7:13: Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow: for thus saith the Lord God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee. O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you. They obviously did not know that there was sin in their camp (much like Christians today). In Joshua Chapter 7 they could not understand why they were unable to defeat their enemy. Because of what one man brought into the camp the whole camp was affected. This still applies today. Christians have brought sin into their camp (homes and churches), and because of this they are not able to defeat their enemy. Sin in the camp affects the whole camp (family). This is why so many Christians are not able to overcome bondage even though scripture says we are over-comers. I John 2:13-14: I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and ye have overcome the wicked one. So what is wrong?
Why are Christians defeated time and time again? It is something we are doing! Because of our lack of knowledge, or lack of understanding, Satan has gotten a foothold in our minds. The Bible clearly says through Jesus Christ we have the victory over the devil. I Corinthians 15:57: But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Christians can have the victory that is promised to them, but they also must obey the commandments given to them. God gave us His commandments for a reason; He did not give them to make life hard on us, just the opposite. God knew that in this world He could protect us from the enemy by giving us a guideline to follow. Not only does God tell us to keep His commandments; but He cannot, and will not, break them,not even for us! God must be first in our life, and if He is first then everything else will fall into place. Deuteronomy 6:1-7: NOW these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the Lord your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither you go to possess it: That thou mightest fear the Lord thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged. Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey. Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. Deuteronomy 5:29: O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever! Deuteronomy 6:5: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. Deuteronomy 6:14-15: Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you; (For the Lord thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the Lord thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth. Matthew 22:37-40: Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Mark 12:30, 33: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And to love him with all the heart and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all thy strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. John 14:15: If ye love me, keep my commandments. I Timothy 6:14: That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Because Jesus Christ died for us, His blood and His love cover a multitude of sins. I Peter 4:8: And above all things have fervent charity (love) among yourselves: for charity (love) shall cover the multitude of sins. John 15:13-14: Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Jesus Christ died for us while we were yet sinners, and this verse says He even calls us “friends”. As friends, Jesus Christ asks us to follow His commandments. However, because of our disobedience to His commandments Satan has been allowed to attack us. God forgave us of our sins by the precious blood of his Son Jesus Christ. But, this does not give us permission to keep sinning over and over again, continually disobeying God’s commandments. His commandments are clear!
For as long as I can remember pictures of a man people refer to as “Jesus” have been displayed in Christian homes and churches. Though to them these items may be an expression of their love for Jesus Christ, several scriptures in the Bible shows us this is sinning against God’s commandments. Because of Christian tradition no one ever questions the pictures, but just continue following the same practice. This is where we have made our mistake. Consider this: what if you had a son and one of his friends were drowning? To save his friend’s life your son gave his own life. In time what your son did became known worldwide. Though you did not want your son to give his life, you knew he did the right thing. People are crying because of what your son did. They are so thankful for the love he showed by running to his friend’s rescue, not even giving a thought to his own safety. As you get closer to one of the people you notice that they are holding a picture of your son in their hand, but much to your surprise it is not your son in the picture after all! They are paying reverence to another for what your son did! Would this hurt you? Isn’t this what we are doing to God when we display pictures of what we refer to as Jesus in our homes and churches, because it is not Jesus in the picture! Isaiah 42:8: I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Our false pictures and statues are nothing more than images of some man; by displaying them we are showing reverence to a person we don’t even know, and giving them honor for what Jesus Christ did. Exodus 20:3-4 and Deuteronomy 5:7-8: Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Jesus Christ first came from heaven above; and is in heaven now. John 6:38: For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. John 17:5: And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. Matthew 26:64: Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. Hebrews 4:14: Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. Exodus 20:4 and Deuteronomy 5:8: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Not only is Jesus Christ in heaven above, but Jesus Christ is also a member of the Godhead – which is God’s divinity – and God’s divine nature cannot be portrayed by art or man’s device. Acts 17:29-30: For as much then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver or stone, graven by art and man’s device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.
In their attempt to show reverence for Jesus Christ, people manufacture fabricated images of what they believe he may have looked like. Most of the pictures of what people think represent Jesus Christ are pictures that supposedly represent him while he was on the earth; before He won the final victory over our sin. The real Jesus died to give us victory over sin yet many Christians who have these false pictures have no victory over their repeated sins, and do not understand why they have not been delivered. Judges 10:13-16: Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more. Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation. And the children of Israel said unto the Lord, we have sinned: do thou unto us whatsoever seemeth good unto thee; deliver us only, we pray thee, this day. And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the Lord: and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel. God is merciful and can deliver us from repeated sin, but we have disobeyed God’s Word and have chosen the image of another god. If we, as Christians, want to truly live in the freedom that God has given us through His real Son Jesus Christ then we need to stop living with a false Jesus. We are not to have or make ‘images’ of how we thinkJesus (who is a part of the Godhead) may have looked. Acts 17:29-30: For as much then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver or stone, graven by art and man’s device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent. If Jesus Christ’s looks were so important then why didn’t the apostles, at first, recognize him after the resurrection? In fact, scripture says Jesus even appeared to two of them in another form! Mark 16:12: After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.
Shortly after His resurrection Jesus Christ ascended into heaven, and after He was taken up, the angels said to the apostles Acts 1:9-11: And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. The angels did not tell them to go and make a statue or picture of Jesus and cling to it until Jesus returns! Many Christians might be surprised that the Jesus in their picture does not represent the Jesus the apostles knew – and it is not even the Jesus in the picture who will return one day. It does not matter whether a portrait is supposed to symbolize him before his resurrection, or after. No portrait could ever represent the ‘spirit’ side of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was man, but He is also part of the Godhead. A picture simply cannot portray Jesus Christ in His fullness. I Timothy 3:16: And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. A picture or statue can only represent the flesh, and our flesh is what we are having trouble with. II Corinthians 5:16: Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. John 6:63: It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. Notice John 6:63 says, the words that Jesus Christ speaks are spirit and life; emphasizing spirit, not flesh!
In the Bible people who worshipped false gods used fleshly images to represent their deities, including pictures, because they were worshippers of the flesh. Numbers 33:52: Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down their high places. Deuteronomy 4:16: Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female.
Our flesh is weak, yet we make images of the flesh as objects of devotion and reverence, and then wonder why we continually follow after the flesh. Matthew 26:41 says… “the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak”. Pagan people worship the flesh and this is why their images are fashioned after the flesh. Habakkuk 2:18-20: What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols? Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it. But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him. When Christians use the same methods as pagans, even though the names of our images have been changed, it will not bring them spiritually closer to God but will put division between them and God! Christians are making a big mistake if they think God is pleased with this method of reverence. Having fleshly looking images of reverence in our homes and churches will cause Christians to repeatedly fall into temptation and fleshly sin – regardless whether they worship the images or not. Most Christians have a misconception of what Exodus 20:3-5 and Deuteronomy 5:7-9 really means. This commandment tells us not to worship them or have them. It does not say it is alright to have them as long as we do not worship them. Exodus 20:4 and Deuteronomy 5:8: Thou shalt not make unto thee (for yourself) any graven image, or any likeness (manufactured images or pictures) of anything that is in heaven above… It means; do not have for yourself any manufactured images or pictures of reverence! (Scriptural parenthesis added for emphasis)
Many Christians will argue and tell you; they do not worship these things, they just think they are nice to have. To worship does not mean you have to bow or pray to something; it means to have love, admiration, devotion and respect for someone or something – which is one reason why people have, and make, religious objects in the first place. A Christian once told me it was alright for them to have these things because it was just meaningless decoration – be assured it is not meaningless to God! The Lord saw this same type of thing before,and He refers to it as “an abomination”. God did not like these pagan abominations then, and He does not like them now! However, the greatest abomination of all is to dress them to try and make them look holy calling them God’s Son, Jesus Christ. Psalm 89:6: For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord? Dressing these images up, or giving them the name Jesus, does not change the fact that they are just images of fleshly men. Ezekiel 16:17-18: Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them, And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredest them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them. A portrait of a mere man could never represent Jesus Christ because there is not a man who is without sin – and Jesus is without sin! Hebrews 4:14-15: Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Most Christians say they know the man in their picture isn’t really Jesus Christ. But, I personally have never heard a Christian say the picture of that man they have in their house is only a representation of Jesus Christ; just the opposite, they always refer to it as their picture of Jesus. They want these idolatrous images of reverence and also want God to approve of it. They think naming them after God’s Son Jesus Christ will gain God’s approval – WRONG! Trying to find a plausible reason for idolatry by re-labeling it will not make it righteous.
God places great importance on warning His people against idolatry. Throughout scripture God warned His own followers against having such items because the people who had them loved the pleasures of the flesh. They tried to immortalize the flesh by fashioning idols after it and worshipping them, including the sexual parts. For more on this see my document on ‘pornography’. ‘The Bible says this is what people will be like in the last days; II Timothy 3:4-5: Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. Regardless of what a Christian names their images and idols they are nothing more than pagan objects of reverence. I Chronicles 16:26 and Psalm 96:5: For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord made the heavens. Our images and idols of reverence are causing us, God’s people, to have the same problems and temptations as the idolaters in the Bible – following after worldly and fleshly lust. If a Christian does not believe this, then why are we in the same bondage to worldly lusts as the unsaved? The Bible is NOT lacking in its promises towards us so it must be something that we are doing, because we lack Biblical knowledge. The pagans had their purposes for having idols/images, and so do Christians. What sets Christians apart from the world? If we, as Christians, cannot tell the difference between Christianity and paganism, then how will the world? II Corinthians 6:17: Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
There are naked paintings that appearto depict Christianity and many people are deceived into thinking these pictures are ‘holy’. However, there is nothing holy about portraying nakedness! One example is the famous painting by Michelangelo of the finger of a man touching the finger of God, whom many reverence as ‘holy’. Have you ever seen the entire picture? On one half of the picture there is a man reclining totally naked with his genitals laid over on one leg supposedly reaching up with his finger touching the finger of God. The half that is supposed to portray God is not scriptural, even without the nakedness, because God is a Spirit and His face cannot be portrayed. John 4:24: God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 5:37: And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath born witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. Exodus 33:20, 23: And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen. I John 4:12: No man hath seen God at any time… Yet, Michelangelo’s picture shows two men – one man is totally naked and the other is supposedly God – and the one who is supposed to be God is lying over the top of naked children. This is an abomination! The fact is anyone who tries to portray God, Jesus Christ, or angelsis not being inspired by God and the end result is spiritual deception, and seduction.
Many religious pictures or paintings depict people barely having their private parts covered, while some do not have anything covered, and several look as if they are lusting after each other with homosexual desire. This may seem harsh but it is the truth. Within the pages of some Bibles there are even pictures of people who are partially nude; either having their entire backsides showing, or their private parts barely covered. The original text of the Bible did not include these naked pictures! Men, inspired by God, wrote God’s Word, and it was compiled under the same inspiration of God into what we refer to as the Holy Bible – but God did not inspire the naked or almost naked pictures that have been inserted within the pages of some Bibles. The inspiration behind these fleshly pictures is man’s lustful imagination, while under direction from evil and seducing spirits of perversion. Psalm 101:3: I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. Evidence of the evil inspiration behind so-called religious paintings and statues can be found within the images themselves. One example: the painting referred to as the ‘Last Supper’. When looking at this picture any Christian should see that something is distorted. Some of the men in Davinci’s Last Supper look feminine! Despite this, Christians still believe Davinci’s so-called religious painting to be inspired by God and do not question it. Some even believe it contains secret codes from God. Falsely believing that God is showing them some spiritually secret code from within the painting. The problem is the code or message they are receiving does not line up with God’s Word, and is in direct attack against God’s Son Jesus Christ. In Davinci’s painting of the ‘Last Supper’ the man sitting next to what is supposed to be Jesus looks very feminine (as do many of these fleshly spiritual portraits), but because the man looks feminine many have thought that Davinci was secretly painting Mary Magdalene. This type of thing is leading many to believe the perverse lie that Mary Magdalene and Jesus were supposedly married and had children together. Proverbs 15:4: A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perversness therein is a breach in the spirit. The mythological kings of the Holy Grail were supposed to have been the children of Jesus and Mary Magdalene – which is blasphemy! JESUS CHRIST CAME TO THIS EARTH ONLY TO PLEASE THE FATHER. John 8:29: And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him. I Corinthians 7:32: But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord. JESUS CHRIST DID NOT MARRY! Jesus Christ never had sexual relations with Mary Magdalene, or any one else for that matter, because Jesus Christ never married. Some may try and say that perhaps Jesus had a sexual relation with her outside of marriage, but that is fornication. I Corinthians 6:9-10: Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind. Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. Jesus Christ was, and is, without sin – and this includes the sin of fornication! Hebrews 4:15: For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
In the Holy Grail writings people are eagerly searching for a ‘chalice’ that Jesus supposedly drank from in the last supper. The Holy Grail myth teaches people to chase after a cup of lies. People are following a mythological story when they should be following, and pursing, Jesus Christ. The mythological story of the Holy Grail is the biggest abomination that has ever been told, yet, many believe to be holy! Some are even saying that the chalice (cup) supposedly represents Mary’s womb. In some churches they even use a chalice as their communion cup, and all share this chalice as if it were sacred. They show more reverence for their cup than they do for God’s Son Jesus Christ. Many believe the Holy Grail to be spiritual; however, the Holy Grail is a lie – and the same evil and lying spirits are behind the false painting of the Lord’s Supper (and many of the other so-called religious paintings). These so-called religious paintings are causing many people to be led astray. They do not understand that God never inspired these pictures. Their inspiration is evil. The evil inspiration behind the Holy Grail myth is where children’s fairy tales came from. Many Christians have tried to excuse having naked and so-called religious pictures by saying; Adam and Eve were naked. Yes they were naked before the fall, but after the fall sin entered the world and they knew they were naked and covered their nakedness. (An example we all need to follow.) Genesis 2:25: And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. After the fall the Bible says in Genesis 3:7, 21: And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them. When Adam and Eve walked the earth naked, before the fall, there were not sinners walking around with them. Since the fall, sin has entered into the world and people cannot walk around naked. We deceive ourselves if we think we are not affected by nakedness. All people are affected by nakedness, even Christians – and naked pictures with a religious theme do have both a negative physical, and spiritual, affect on us. It is not just the pictures or paintings, but the statues and images [which scripture also forbids] with private parts sculpted to precise detail. Ezekiel 16:17: Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them.
The Lord warned His people against having images or idols fashioned after the flesh because He knew it would lead to lust of the flesh and soul. (In Hebrew/Greek lust is also a part of our soul. The Hebrew word for ‘soul’ in the Old Testament is “nephesh, neh’-fesh; …sense… appetite… breath… desire… greedy… heart… life… lust… mind… pleasure… will”. The Greek word for ‘soul’ in the New Testament is “psuche, psoo-khay’; …breath… heart… life… mind”. The Greek terms “exactly correspond respectively” to the Hebrew.) If we do not abstain from all types of fleshly lust (even having images of reverence fashioned after lustful flesh) it will war against our soul (mind, will, and emotions). I Peter 2:11: Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul. Continual surrender to fleshly lust can result in oppression and bondage to evil spirits, yes even for a Christian. If a Christian lives in an environment surrounded by pagan images of reverence they will have a hard time with fleshly lust(s). If Christians would throw away their pagan objects, read their Bible, and pray it would be much easier for them to turn away from evil temptation when it comes.
In the Bible the pagan followers (worshippers) of graven images were involved in all forms of sexual lusts, including homosexuality. Just by possessing replicas of pagan objects we are showing reverence to false gods – possibly even the same gods our ancestors worshipped. We are allowing evil and seducing unclean spirits access into our home through unclean decoration(s). Changing the names and clothing on these unclean objects does not change their meaning. Ezekiel 16:17-18: Thou hast also taken thy fair jewels of my gold and my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of men, and didst commit whoredom with them, And tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredest them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them. Acts 17:29-30: For as much then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver or stone, graven by art and man’s device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.
Through unclean cursed items we invite evil temptation into our life – temptation that, in time, will entice us to repeat (re-connect) the same generational pattern of sin (iniquity) as our forefathers. Think about it, what else would Satan hide behind but pictures of a mere sinful man that people think represents Jesus Christ? II Corinthians 11:14: And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Satan knows it is not Jesus Christ in that picture, and he also knows that we do not know what Jesus’ exact facial features are. (Note: His facial imprint has not been found in a shroud [burial cloth] – this is just another fabricated lie of Satan.) We do not know what Jesus facial features are yet we have the image of mere sinful man portrayed in our homes and churches, leading people to believe this is our God. Since the man in our false picture is not really Jesus we are placing ‘another god’ in our home in place of the real God, who cannot be physically portrayed or fabricated. Exodus 20:3 and Deuteronomy 5:7: Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Isaiah 40:18-25: To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him? The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains. He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, that shall not be moved. Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: That bringeth the princes to nothing: he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity. Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble. To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. When we have the wrong Jesus as a picture we have the wrong member of the Godhead. Colossians 2:9: For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Our false image of Jesus is drawing us to the wrong God. Some Christians refer to their so-called picture of Jesus as a witnessing tool. But, when false pictures are used as witnessing tools it causes others to fall into the sin of idolatry, leading them into spiritual bondage too. Like us, they will be encouraged to display these false and idolatrous pictures and images in their home creating their own spiritual ‘house of bondage’. Deuteronomy 6:12: Then beware lest thou forget the Lord, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Deuteronomy 8:14: Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the Lord thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
An important point must be emphasized. Using a movie or drama that accurately portrays the life of Jesus Christ as a witnessing tool is not like having a stationary picture of what someone imagines he may have looked like hanging on their wall. Even the prophets of old used drama, more precisely dramatic acts, to get their point across. They did not, and would not use an idol to tell someone about God. A drama of Jesus Christ’s life tells His life story, His entire life story; including his death, burial, and resurrection. Just like the Bible, a movie of Jesus Christ’s life is alive and moving, and tells the whole story. Unlike stationary pictures; movies place the emphasis on Jesus Christ’s life and the message of salvation, not his looks! Jesus Christ’s life story will give us faith and will set us free – but a picture of some man’s face hanging on our wall will not, it will cause bondage to our soul and flesh. Hearing about Jesus’ life will cause people to believe. His life is His Word. Romans 10:17: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. The Christian walk is one of faith. John 20:29: Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. The truth in God’s Word (the Bible) will build our faith, and it will also set us free! John 17:17: Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 8:31-32: Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:36: If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. God’s real ‘Son’ is the true ‘Word’ that sets us free. Hanging a picture on our wall of some man that people call Jesus is not truth, it is a lie! We cannot portray the image of the invisible God…which is who Jesus is. Colossians 1:15: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature. The Word of God is our only true portrait of Jesus Christ! John 1:1, 14: IN the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Revelation 19:13: And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. (There is one exception to using a movie of Jesus as a witnessing tool. If you try to freeze frame a picture in the movie of the man who is representing Jesus, using that freeze framed picture as a spiritual reflection point – especially during praise and worship – this is both wrong and spiritually dangerous!)
Our so-called Christian (religious) decorations have kept God’s people blind to Satan’s devices. They are one of Satan’s greatest deceptions, and these items have been the perfect disguise for his evil seducing spirits. Satan uses the image of what people think portrays Jesus Christ as the perfect hiding place; and Satan knows that when someone tells you God is not pleased with these pictures you will think they are talking bad about Jesus! Satan has been setting the stage for his plan all along.
Note: I understand there are certain people who have taken this message to the extreme and have even called pictures of the family a “graven image”, but when someone sees pictures of our family hanging on the wall they do not call them Jesus Christ! The graven images the Bible speaks of are false religious images used as objects of reverence. We must keep a balance in everything we do. In this teaching I am referring to false religious images in Christian homes and churches, not images [pictures] of our family! See my document on ‘idols’.
We are drawn to Jesus Christ by God the Father. John 6:44 (Jesus speaking): No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. We are not drawn to Jesus Christ through physical beauty. Isaiah 53:2 (This verse speaks of Jesus Christ): For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. Deuteronomy 4:15-16: Take ye therefore good heed unto yourselves; for ye saw no manner of similitude on the day that the Lord spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire: Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female. New Living Translation reads: But be careful! You did not see the Lord’s form on the day he spoke to you from the fire at Mount Sinai. So do not corrupt yourselves by making a physical image in any form – whether of a man or a woman. The Hebrew word for ‘similitude’ in Deuteronomy 4:15-16 (OKJV) is “tem-oo-naw’; …something portioned (i.e. fashioned) out, as a shape…image, likeness”. Isaiah 44:13: The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house. Psalm 89:6: For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?
There are so many different pictures of men referred to as Jesus Christ that it gets confusing. II Corinthians 5:16: Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. New Living translation reads: So we have stopped evaluating others by what the world thinks about them. Once I mistakenly thought of Christ that way, as though he were merely a human being. How differently I think about him now! We do not know Jesus through His flesh, only through His Spirit. We have not even seen Jesus Christ in His flesh. Since there were no cameras at the time Jesus was on this earth someone obviously started drawing these fleshly pictures out of their imagination – a definition for image. Jeremiah 9:14: But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them. In Christian homes and places of worship people are placing images, or idols, of what someone has imagined Jesus Christ to look like. Jesus Christ is in heaven above;and we are not supposed to have an image, or a likeness, of what people imagine Jesus Christ to look like. Exodus 20:4 and Deuteronomy 5:8 says: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
Special Note: Some people think it is alright to have a man-made picture depicting Jesus as He is described in Revelation 14:14: And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. Revelation 19:11-16: And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vestue dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Based on the fact that Jesus is in heaven above – and His Biblical description reveals this – we are not to have these images either. Exodus 20:4 and Deuteronomy 5:8: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above… How would anyone ever be able to truly portray Jesus in His awesome power through man-made images! What many Christians may not realize is that there is yet another white horse rider wearing a crown in the Book of Revelation – and this one depicts evil. Revelation 6:2: And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering and to conquer. Since we are not supposed to have any pictures representing Jesus, then which white horse rider is in your picture?
Adding to the already blasphemous portraits of Jesus we now have artists attempting to portray Jesus as a woman. WHAT AN ABOMINATION! Deuteronomy 4:16 says: Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female. New Living Translation reads: So do not corrupt yourselves by making a physical image in any form – whether of a man or a woman. The Hebrew word for ‘similitude’ in Deuteronomy 4:16 (OKJV) is “tem-oo-naw’; …something portioned (i.e. fashioned) out, as a shape…image, likeness”. The church may not like hearing this, but man’s religious tradition of attempting to portray Jesus in the first place is partly to blame for this abomination! Some people may not fashion their portrait from a mental image but might actually fashion it after a real person – who we know is not Jesus. Some people have used an actual person to model for them, fashioning a so-called picture of Jesus after that person. Someone once told me they received a picture, referred to as Jesus, from a woman they went to church with. The woman painted the picture herself and had several copies made. She passed the pictures out to people in her church. Some of the church members started experiencing marital difficulties. The woman who told me the story said she and her husband finally divorced. Worse yet, her husband had left her for another man! People in the congregation later found out that the woman who painted the picture used a man that she herself was committing adultery with to pose for the picture. Proverbs 30:20: Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness. First, I ask you, did these people have a picture of Jesus hanging in their homes or did they have a picture of an adulterer? Second, if the false religious items we have in our homes do not affect us, then why did the people these pictures were given to start experiencing marital problems? Psalm 89:6: For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord? Using fleshly images of corruptible man to try and portray Jesus Christ, who is part of the Godhead, will lead to all types of fleshly lust (including homosexuality). Romans 1:20-27: For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Some Christians may say they know it is not really Jesus Christ in their pictures and statues, and that they are not worshipping them, but what about their ancestors? According to some history about them it is believed that the statues that we now refer to as ‘Jesus’ were made from the exact facial measurements and features of the statue ‘Zeus’. A false god! Zeus was the name the Greeks gave this image; but to the Romans it was Jupiter; and now the Christians call it Jesus! A carved bust of Zeus is on display in the Ephesus Museum, and another in the National Archaeological Museum in Athens – revealing the facial similarity to the statues now referred to as Jesus. Exodus 20:3 and Deuteronomy 5:7: Thou shalt have no other gods before me. I Chronicles 16:26 and Psalm 96:5: For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord made the heavens. What were pagan male statues and images of reverence referred to before they were called Zeus or Jupiter? The names have been changed many times, but in the Bible the first pagan male statues and images of reverence were called “Baal” or “Baalim”. Jeremiah 9:14: But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them. Though some people today may not actually be worshipping these objects, you can see the objects themselves are pagan and they do represent false worship.
Many Christians would agree that they have so-called Christian imagery because of their reverence, respect, or devotion to the Lord. Again, worship does not mean you have to bow or pray to something; it means to have love, admiration, devotion and respect for someone or something – which is one reason why people have, and make, religious objects in the first place. Please do not misunderstand and think I am saying that all Christians are literally worshipping these objects, however, the objects themselves represent worship. These same type objectshave always been here, although in the past they had other names. Though Christians now refer to their replicas as Christian religious objects they do not know the true religious background of those objects. They are rooted in PAGANISM; FALSE WORSHIP.
Scriptures in God’s Own Word confirm His stand against paganism and idolatry, especially the idolatrous images of a mere man whom Christians are referring to as Jesus. You must understand how very important this is to God! Jesus Christ is a member of the Godhead, and we are not to have or make (manufacture) images of the Godhead. Colossians 2:8-9: Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Acts 17:29-30: For as much then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver or stone, graven by art and man’s device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent. Changing the names of our images and statues (that have been fashioned after the flesh) does not change the fact that they are all idols in God’s eyes! I Chronicles 16:26 and Psalm 96:5: For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.
Please understand that God loves His people and that is why He wants us to learn and follow His truth. He loves us and is not standing there with a big rock to stone us the way people in the Old Testament were stoned. Before Jesus Christ shed His blood for us they had to destroy anything, and many times anyone, connected with idolatry. Because of what Jesus Christ did for us we now have His grace and mercy. However, part of His grace and mercy is to show us His truth about His Father’s Word and how Christians are to live. Titus 2:11-12: For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.
We, as Christians, have inter-mingled paganism with Christianity and are breaking God’s commandments – and this is why we, God’s people, have not been able to overcome repeated temptation to sin. Due to our paganism (idolatry) we have committed spiritual adultery against God – and have stepped out of the realm of God’s protection. Just as when a person commits adultery against their spouse they step out into a place of great danger of temptation. Proverbs 7:22-23: He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life. Whether it is spiritual adultery against God, or physical adultery against a spouse, both break a commitment. God loves us and He wants us to be completely committed to Him, just as He is completely committed to us! It hurts God when we make a salvation commitment to His Son Jesus Christ and then we put another god in His place. When you make a marriage commitment would you put another person’s picture in your marriage photo, in place of your spouse? Of course not, that would hurt them. So how do we think God feels when we replace His Son with a false picture? Once we learn the truth we cannot ignore it – and we certainly cannot keep sinning and claiming grace and mercy as a way to cover our repeated sins. Romans 5:19-21; 6:1-2: For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. WHAT shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Hebrews 10:26-29: For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? If God’s people read their Bibles they will know the truth. Mercy or no mercy, we are responsible for knowing God’s Word!
As God’s people we are not to be physically punished, or destroyed, for having unclean objects; as in the Old Testament – but let’s destroy the “unclean thing” (unclean decoration), and separate ourselves from it. II Corinthians 6:17: Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. What if the Israelites told God after reaching the Promised Land that they would not worship any of the pagan objects of the former inhabitants but that they would just keep and re-name them, decorating their homes with the objects! God would not even allow His people to occupy land filled with idols, the objects had to all be destroyed first and the land cleansed. Numbers 33:52: Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places.
Jesus loves and considers the church His bride. Revelation 19:7: Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. Ephesians 5:27: That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. When a person marries they want to know what their spouse likes, and dislikes, because they love them. Shouldn’t we do the same for God and His Son? Jesus Christ died for us, to make us clean, and it does not please Him when we live in an environment filled with unclean objects and decorations. We must clean up the environment we live in by cleaning up our homes (Spiritually). Genesis 35:2: Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments. When the environment around us is Spiritually clean God brings peace to our home and our mind, clearing all confusion. In a clean environment when Satan does try and tempt us we can recognize his deception. Satan’s temptation will be easier for us to overcome, because Satan no longer has a hiding place in our home.
The Holy Spirit will not dwell where there is idolatry. With idolatrous decoration we “quench the Spirit” by living in a home where His Holy Spirit is not welcome. I Thessalonians 5:19: Quench not the Spirit. God does not promise us peace or protection when we are living among Satan’s things. Without God’s protection temptation to sin is hard for us to overcome. God certainly can protect us; but the truth is we give Satan legal ground (spiritually) to live among us when we have our homes and churches decorated with Satan’s things. God is not going to protect His people when we are going against His Word, the Bible! When we live with, or even wear, idols we invite temptation to sin in our life. An example is when we wear little statues (idols) around our neck. A popular one is the one we call the crucifix. Many people wear the crucifix around their neck unaware of what scripture says: Deuteronomy 21:23: His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance. Galatians 3:13: Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree. When Jesus Christ was on the cross He took upon Himself the sins and curses of every person in the world that would ever accept Him as their Savior. He became a curse for us, but He did not stay cursed! If our statue or image on the crucifix necklace really represented Jesus Christ (which it doesn’t) why would we want to wear, or even have, Him in a cursed state – a condition He did not stay in? Why do Christians want to re-connect themselves to curses that Jesus Christ has set them free from by having or wearing cursed objects?
Jesus Christ did hang on a tree (we call it a cross) for our sins. He paid the ultimate price for our salvation. Jesus Christ died on a tree for us becoming the One and Only final sacrifice. Hebrews 10:12: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God. Jesus Christ paid a debt that we could never pay! We were born into sin because of what Adam did. I Corinthians 15:21-22: For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. Because Jesus Christ died for us we can be saved. Acts 4:10, 12: Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. We should never take lightly what Jesus Christ did for us, without Him we would be eternally lost. Praise God for the death of Jesus Christ on the cross – but He did not stay on the cross. I Corinthians 15:14: And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. The victory was not complete without the death, burial, and very important the resurrection. Christians have a fleshly looking statue or image of what they call Jesus Christ hanging on a cross basically frozen in time while in a cursed state. Christians are hanging a curse in their home and/or around their neck, which spiritually becomes their yoke of bondage to fleshly sin. This includes the sin(s) of lust, perversion, and homosexuality. Many people are having sexually perverted thoughts – mental images of nudity – and the entire time are wearing an almost naked image of a man around their neck! In a few cases some even have their crucifix hanging in their house over their bed, and they wonder why they are having dreams about naked people. They do not realize the false religious and sexual origin behind this false idol, and all their other so-called Christian images of reverence. Job 14:4: Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one. The true history behind these pagan male statues and images of reverence [idols] and what the first male images of reverence were called in the Bible can be found in my document under ‘baal’. Male idols and images of reverence today have been given new names [including the name Jesus] but the pagan, sexual, and homosexual meanings of these false images are still the same today. Biblical proof linking false images of the Godhead to lust and homosexuality can be found in Romans Chapter 1:20-32.
The real Jesus Christ is part of the Godhead (Colossians 2:9; Acts 17:29-30), and the Godhead cannot be represented by man-made images or statues. Look at the following scripture showing that all pagan images and statues of ordinary man (including the counterfeit images we call Jesus Christ) are connected with homosexuality, perversion, and false worship. Romans 1:20-32: For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful. Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same but have pleasure in them that do them. It is so important not to make images of the Godhead because Jesus Christ is a part of the Godhead! Acts 17:29: Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. Colossians 2:6, 9: As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him. For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. God will not share His glory or praise with a graven image, even when we name it after Jesus Christ! Isaiah 42:8: I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
In the Bible having images and statues of reverence was a practice of heathens, pagans, and of people who may have once served God but turned their back on Him. I Chronicles 16:26 and Psalm 96:5: For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord made the heavens. See my document on ‘idols’. By bringing abominations into our home we could forfeit our relationship with God! The truth is any ‘image’ of reverence from any culture – including Christian culture – is only an idolatrous imitation of a heathen god. Exodus 20:3 and Deuteronomy 5:7: Thou shalt have no other gods before me. The One and Only True God and His Son Jesus Christ, who are members of the Godhead, can never be reverenced or honored using images. Throughout the Bible you cannot find one single incident where God’s people used a picture or statue of a man to try and portray the Godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Colossians 2:8-9: Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Acts 17:29-30: Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent.
There is Biblical proof that the crucifix represents a curse. Although many people think wearing a crucifix is ‘sacred’, it is in fact a spiritual connector to a curse. It is an idol, and because all idols are actually pagan in origin (due to this ones lack of clothing) it is also ‘sexual’. Deuteronomy 21:23: His body shall not remain all night upon the tree (we call it a cross), but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance. (First scriptural parenthesis added for emphasis.) Acts 5:30: The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. Galatians 3:13: Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree. The ‘crucifix’ is an idolatrous image that is proven by scripture to represent a curse. Idolatrous images can never represent God so by wearing a crucifix you are cursing yourself with what is hanging around your neck, and since this image/idol is almost naked many who wear it will struggle with sexual lust – including homosexuality. Putting an idolatrous image on a cross does not make it holy. This idolatrous image on the crucifix does not represent the real Jesus Christ; it is nothing more than an idolatrous statue symbolic of man’s fleshly lust. Biblical proof linking this false image of the Godhead to lust and homosexuality is found in Romans Chapter 1:21-23, 26-27: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Jeremiah 9:14: But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them. All idolatry is symbolic of the ‘lust of the flesh’. Though all crucifix’s represent a curse there are some crucifix’s that do not have an almost naked image of a man; but have an image of a man wearing a type of resurrection robe. I guess this is supposed to mean that after Jesus got the victory He jumped back on the cross/curse? Do you see how ridiculous man-made images can be!
People from many false religions (including Satanism) wear different types of crosses, including the crucifix. Satanists believe that by wearing a crucifix they are showing the world what Satan did to Jesus. A crucifix to a Satanist displays what they believe was the end of Jesus Christ. They believe Satan got the victory, which we all know is a lie.
Other crosses that are popular to people of every type of religious belief are the Swastika, Maltese, Tau (Y or T shape), Ankh, Chi-Rho (x shape), Latin, Celtic, etc. Many of these crosses, in one way or another, represent pagan sun worship, or phallic (male genital) symbolism. Encircled crosses represent the solar sun disk (sun worship), or female sexual unity. The crosses with an oval (like the ankh); or ones with just a circle on the tip of the stem, or behind the intersecting part of the cross (a celtic cross), represent female sexual unity (including fertility). The ankh can also represent man – its oval circle on the top symbolizing the head, and the other three parts making up the body, arms, and legs (both legs making one stem). The ankh also had spiritual and ritual meaning to the ancient Egyptian people who served many false gods. Check history. The popular Egyptian ankh is part of Tutankhamun’s name – so how could this particular cross possibly have a Christian origin, as some falsely believe? Crosses shaped like a perfect plus (+) represent the directional, or elemental spirits in witchcraft. While an encircled plus sign is symbolic of the Indian medicine wheel, which is divination (witchcraft). You can check the origin and meaning of all sorts of symbols and crosses in different books, or on the internet.

As does the sign the Roman Catholic Church makes with their hand when you see them touching their head, their chest, and their shoulders. Proof that their wafer represents a sun disc is revealed by its name; it is called a ‘host’, which represents the sun. Deuteronomy 4:19: And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven. Acts 7:41-42: And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands. Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets…The Greek word for ‘host’ in Acts 7:42 is “stratia, strat-ee’-ah; …the angels, the celestial luminaries”. The Roman Catholic Church may worship the host – but God is the Lord of hosts, and He is the one who deserves our worship! Malachi 3:7-9: Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts…

Before you decide to put something on your body, or (as far as the ‘holy eucharist’ is concerned) in your mouth, you need to check out its real meaning first. Not what the ‘religious traditions of men’ say it means. Whether you realize it or not, you could be wearing a ‘yoke of bondage’. Many people say, “I just have these things and I don’t see it that way, it doesn’t mean anything to me”. What we must consider is: How does God see it, and what does it mean to Him?
As Christians, you may not like what you are hearing, but you cannot argue with scripture. If you reject God’s knowledge then one day when you stand before Him you will be without excuse – you chose not to know the truth. By rejecting knowledge it will also affect your children: Hosea 4:6: My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
The Bible tells how people will be in the last days. II Timothy 3:1-7: This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
By comparing II Timothy 3:1-7 with Romans 1:20-32 you will see that they are nearly identical. Proving that idolatry and graven images were the spiritual root cause of the problems seen in Romans Chapter 1, and they are still the spiritual root cause of the problems we see in these last days. Romans 1:25: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. The Greek word for creature in Romans 1:25 is ktisis, ktis’-is; creation, creature.

Very important note: Many Christians would not just follow a person who is walking around calling them self Jesus Christ (or Christ); however, many would follow after a vision or spirit of something calling itself Jesus Christ, or Christ – especially if it looked like their false pictures. II Corinthians 11:4: For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. The Bible says to try (Greek meaning discern) the spirits and see if they are of God. No matter who, or what, the spirit looks like you better test it with scripture to see if God really sent it. I John 4:1: BELOVED, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. I John 4:2: Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. Even if an actual person came to you saying Jesus Christ sent them you need to find out if it is the real Jesus Christ that sent them, or not. They must confess Jesus Christ of Nazareth as the One who sent them; the same Jesus who is the Only Begotten Son of God, who came in the flesh and died for the sins of the people, who rose from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of God. John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. I John 4:2-3: Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. John 11:50: Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. Acts 13:29-31: And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulcher. But God raised him from the dead: And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people. Acts 1:9: And when he (Jesus) had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. Hebrews 10:12: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God. (Scriptural parenthesis added for emphasis)
A person could actually be seeing a spirit (not only in a church setting, but even in their home) that they believe to be Jesus Christ; however, the person must validate the spirit’s credibility through scripture. If the spirit does not adhere to scripture (or it looks like those familiar pictures and statues) then it is not the real Jesus Christ. If it is a spirit that appears to be angelic, and it does not match the Biblical description of an angel then the real Jesus did not send it. No matter where the spirit appears, whether home or church, do not just openly accept it, because even Satan can appear as an angel of light. II Corinthians 11:14: And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
If any spirit, or even a person, tells you something that appears to be scriptural it should only confirm what God has already laid on your heart, but even then you must pray to be sure. There are false spirits out there that are deceiving many people. Some spirits are even falsely claiming they are Jesus Christ. And it is not just the Christian that is deceived by them. Some people who practice false religion are calling their spirit guides Jesus, or the Christ. As I mentioned earlier people who practice false religion do not believe that Jesus and the Christ are one in the same; in essence they believe that the Christ was only Jesus’ spirit guide and that at Jesus’ death the Christ left him so it could go and indwell others, turning them into little Christ’s. But, this is a lie! This is only a counterfeit to the true Christian belief that Jesus is in fact the Christ and that He sent His Spirit (which is the Holy Spirit) to guide us in all truth. John 14:16-18: And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. John 14:26: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. It is the Holy Spirit which reveals to us that we are not Christ, or little gods, but that we need Jesus Christ. We must be careful. We cannot just believe any person, or spirit that uses the name of Jesus. Why? Because they may not be talking about the real Jesus Christ – the one that scripture refers to.
Did you know there was a Jesus in the Bible, who was an acquaintance of Paul’s, that was not the real Jesus Christ? Paul mentions him as one of his fellow workers in Colossians 4:11: And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me. There was also a person in the Bible who had the name Jesus as part of their own name, but he was a sorcerer and a false prophet! Acts 13:6: And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesus. Even today there are many people, especially in other countries, that are named Jesus. So does this mean a person should just follow any person with that name, or even any spirit calling itself Jesus? OF COURSE NOT! I John 4:2-3: Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of the antichrist, whereof he have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Jesus Christ is God, and He did come in the flesh, and He was tempted in all points as we are – yet was without sin! Hebrews 4:14-15: Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. His sinless life is the reason that a mere person or picture could never be or portray the real Jesus. Note: You need to make sure that you know what your church believes. Some churches believe that Jesus Christ took on our sin nature when he came to the earth, and this is blasphemy! Jesus was, and is, without sin!
The Bible warns against following after false Christs. Mark 13:22: For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. I John 2:22: Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. I John 4:1: BELOVED, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. You notice in these verses it says the word ‘spirit’. The Bible warns us against believing or following just any spirit (small s, not capital S as in Holy Spirit). When God warns us against following just any spirit, and tells us to try (or discern) the spirits to see whether they are from Him, He even means to test the ones claiming to be Christ!
