A PRAYER FOR SALVATION
As a Christian, I must first share the following scriptures with you emphasizing the importance of repentance and salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ (Yeshua) – the Only One who can bring freedom from sin:
· It is God’s will that all should come to repentance. II Peter 3:9: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to usward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
· We all have sinned. Romans 3:23: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. I John 1:9: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
· Believe God loves you. John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Acts 16:31: And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
· Jesus Christ is the only way to God. John 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Acts 2:21: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 4:10, 12: Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12: Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, wherby we must be saved.
· Jesus Christ is the straight gate and narrow way. Matthew 7:13-14: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
· Call on Jesus Christ to be your Savior. John 1:12: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. Romans 10:13: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
· Pledge to follow Jesus Christ and be born again in the Spirit, leaving your old lifestyle behind. John 3:3-7: Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
Only God the Father can draw us to Jesus Christ. John 6:44 (Jesus speaking): No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. It is through God’s only begotten Son ‘Jesus Christ’ that we find ‘salvation’ and according to John 3:3-7 are ‘born again’. If you believe that God the Father is drawing you to repentance and salvation, at this time, please say the following prayer:
Dear God, I am a sinner in need of a Savior. I cannot save myself. Without Jesus Christ of Nazareth (Yeshua the true Messiah) I am lost. I repent of my sins and ask your only begotten Son Jesus Christ to come into my heart, mind, life, soul, and spirit and to be my Savior! I know that Jesus Christ is the only way to you. John 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. I believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, died on the cross for my sins, and has risen from the dead. I know that Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and is sitting at the right hand of God. I ask Jesus Christ to come into my heart and save me. From this day forward, with your help Lord Jesus, I will serve you completely. I am yours! Thank you Jesus Christ for my salvation, Amen.
