Paganism and the Statue of Liberty!

 

          Not only must we get Satan’s false (pagan) images of reverence out of our homes and churches, but we must also stop reverencing his pagan symbolism in our nation.  This may come as a surprise to you but a face that Satan is concealed behind is the ‘Statue of Liberty’.  Deuteronomy 4:16:  Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female.  New Living Translation reads:  So do not corrupt yourselves by making a physical image in any form – whether of a man or a woman.  The Hebrew word for ‘similitude’ in Deuteronomy 4:16 (OKJV) is “tem-oo-naw’; …something portioned (i.e. fashioned) out, as a shape…image, likeness”.  The Statue of Liberty is fashioned after a pagan idol called the “Colossus of Rhodes”.  Check its history; it is one of the Seven Wonders of the World.  Any idol that we reverence as a ‘beacon of light’ to our nation lifting its false light up in place of God’s true light which is Jesus Christ – when we are supposed to be ‘one nation under God’ – we bring our own selves under God’s judgment!  Leviticus 26:1:  Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it:  for I am the Lord your God.  II Kings 17:29:  Howbeit every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places…  Note:  To worship does not mean you have to bow or pray to something it means to have love, admiration, devotion and respect for something or someone – which is one reason why people have, and make, religious objects in the first place. 

What light are we truly shining, or following, in America?  Are we shining to other nations the true light of God, which shines only through Jesus Christ; or are we shining to others our light of paganism and idolatry?  JESUS IS THE LIGHT THAT AMERICA IS SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT.  INSTEAD WE REPRESENT THE FALSE LIGHT (TORCH) OF IDOLATRY AND PAGANISM, WHICH GOD’S WORD IS AGAINST!  THE REAL JESUS, NOT A MANUFACTURED IDOL, IS GOD’S ONLY TRUE WORD AND LIGHT.  John 1:1:  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  Revelation 19:13:  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:  and his name is called The Word of God.  John 1:4, 7-9:  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light (Jesus), that all men through him might believe.  That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.  John 8:12:  Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world:  he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.  I Peter 2:9:  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.  John 12:36:  While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light …  John 12:46:  I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.  Galatians 4:6:  For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.  Is America, in all its pride, depending on a false light (torch) referred to as ‘lady liberty’ as our symbol of freedom and protection?  The only One we should depend on for our ‘liberty’ and protection is Jesus Christ.  Galatians 5:1:  STAND fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.  Lady liberty did not die on the cross for our freedom (or liberty), Jesus Christ did.  Paganism does not set us free (give us liberty) from oppression and slavery.  Paganism has, and always will bring spiritual bondage to anyone having it; including America.   

 

Important note:  I am using the freedom that our nation is supposed to be established on and am speaking out for the Lord.  Each person born on American soil has a right to speak out.  However, (in America) the God who created this world and everything in it is no longer allowed His right.  Psalm 24:1:  The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.  This is God’s World, and America is His.  We have no authority over Him.  He is the One who gives us the right to dwell here!  America has turned their back on God by turning their back on His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ – who truly paid the price for our freedom and liberty.  We have kept our idols but will not even allow His Son’s name to be mentioned in our schools and other government institutions.  Now, God is asking His people to use their voice to speak out on His Son’s behalf.  Unless we repent, God will judge America for turning its back on His Son and turning their face towards paganism.  Throughout this book I am speaking out for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  I am speaking out against paganism and idolatry.  God created this earth – it does not belong to idols.  It is time for God’s people to speak out and be a voice for the real Jesus Christ, and for His right to be heard and worshipped in this land.  Psalm 96:9-13:  O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness:  fear before him, all the earth.  Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth:  the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved:  he shall judge the people righteously.  Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof.  Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein:  then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice Before the Lord; for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth:  he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

 

          II Corinthians 11:14:  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.  America’s pride in our images and idols will not save us, just the opposite; it is leading to our Spiritual downfall.  America takes special pride in the Statue of Liberty, commonly referred to as ‘the proud lady’, and if we as a nation do not repent and turn back to God our pride will lead to our fall!  Isaiah 47:5, 7:  Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans:  for thou shalt no more be called, the lady of kingdoms.  And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever:  so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.  Proverbs 16:18:  Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.  Proverbs 11:2:  When pride cometh, then cometh shame:  but with the lowly is wisdom.  Isaiah 30:1:  Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin.  Proverbs 14:34:  Righteousness exalteth a nation but sin is a reproach to any people. 

It is my prayer that America will wake up, and it is that hope which leads me to give this message to our entire nation.  Isaiah 17:7-8:  At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.  And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the grove, or the images.  It is not too late, let us arise and pray, let the body of Christ take a stand together!  Isaiah 48:13:  Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens:  when I call unto them, they stand up together!

 America is already deep in debt yet we keep spending money restoring our idol, the Statue of Liberty?  Not only are America’s idols destroying us spiritually, but also financially!  God’s people must awaken from their spiritual sleep, and follow the true light, Jesus Christ.  Ephesians 5:14:  Wherefore he saith, awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

  There is a false light (torch) shining in America.  If we are going to pass the true light to the next generation we had better not pass them our pagan torch.  We had better pass them the true light of God’s Word, the Bible.  His Word says that He (God) will not share his glory with any graven image (no matter what we name it).  Leviticus 26:1:  Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it:  for I am the Lord your God.  Isaiah 42:8:  I am the LORD:  that is my name:  and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.  We have set up a pagan image of reverence in our land and whether we bow to it, or not, this does not change the fact that the image itself is an abomination in the eyes of God.  Judges 10:14:  Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.  How can Americans trust this image to hold up our nation, when the statue itself could not even stand without our help?  I know that is a facetious question, however, I am trying to show you how truly blind America is to place its pride and trust in its images.  Psalm 115:4-8:  Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.  They have mouths, but they speak not:  eyes have they, but they see not:  They have ears, but they hear not:  noses have they, but they smell not:  They have hands, but they handle not:  feet have they, but they walk not:  neither speak they through their throat.  They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.  Psalm 135:14-18:  For the Lord will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.  The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.  They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they but they see not; They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.  They that make them are like unto them:  so is every one that trusteth in them.  Jeremiah 10:14-15:  Every man is brutish in his knowledge:  every founder is confounded by the graven image:  for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.  They are vanity, and the work of errors:  in the time of their visitation they shall perish.  The image we call ‘the Statue of Liberty’ has been worshipped in the past.  It just had a different name.  Check history because it is one of the Seven Wonders of the World called the “Colossus of Rhodes”, and it too wore a hat with ‘sun rays’ (representing sun worship), and it stood near the water (just like America’s statue).  People have been using the same type of images and icons throughout history, only changing their names, but the meanings are still the same and they are all as the Bible says “abominations”!  Not only are they abominations to God, but Isaiah 42:8:  says; I am the LORD:  that is my name:  and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.  

          Many Americans may think that the ‘Statue of Liberty’ is nothing more than a lighthouse to guide ships to the New York City harbor, but if this were the case then why is it fashioned like the Colossus of Rhodes and wearing sunrays on its head.  Why does this supposed lighthouse have a face!?  Better yet, whose spirit is truly behind that face!  We refer to our nation as a ‘Christian nation’, yet we have this pagan image set up in the entrance to New York; one of America’s major cities.  Leviticus 26:1:  Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it:  for I am the Lord your God.

America is supposedly honored as God’s nation, the place where His Spirit (the Holy Spirit) dwells, but look at the pagan abomination we have standing in the city of the north.  Ezekiel 8:3, 5:  And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between earth and the heaven (sort of like aerial photography), and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.  Then said he unto me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes now the way toward the north.  So I lifted up mine eyes the way toward the north, and behold northward at the gate of the altar, this image of jealousy in the entry.  The Statue of Libery stands northward in the entry of one of America’s cities and this pagan image provokes the Lord to jealousy!

 We have many images that provoke God to jealousy standing in America.  Worse yet, we even have images of jealousy standing in God’s dwelling places; yes, in God’s churches!  Isaiah 42:8:  I am the LORD:  that is my name:  and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.  Exodus 20:25:  And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone:  for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.  We have set up pagan images of jealousy in God’s churches, and though we may have wrapped ours up to look holy they are all the same abominations.   

In the Bible we see that God judged His people because they turned their back on Him.  In this same way could God be pouring His judgment out on America because we, a self proclaimed Christian nation, have turned our backs on Him?  It is not only our nation but its churches too have turned their back on Him through their idolatry, when they are the ones who are supposed to be setting a Godly example for the rest of the nation.  Is God pouring out His judgment on America in these last days?  Or, is Satan the one who is trying to destroy America?  Either way, it is our nation’s own ignorance to God’s Word, and its idolatry, that is allowing and causing it to happen.  Unless we repent for turning God’s land into an idolatrous land God will not protect us from destruction.  Proverbs 14:34:  Righteousness exalteth a nation but sin is a reproach to any people.  Though God wants to protect us He cannot and will not go against His Own Word!  America’s destruction, or judgment (if we do not repent), will start with those who are supposed to know better – God’s own people – and then will work its way through our nation.  Ezekiel 9:6:  Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women:  but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary.  Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.  If we want God’s judgment to pass over (pass by) us then we had better repent, get our homes and churches cleaned out, and Spiritually apply the blood of Jesus to the doorposts of our hearts and homes.  Just as they did not slay the people bearing the blood mark in Ezekiel 9:6 we too must Spiritually mark our hearts and our homes with the blood of Jesus so we will be spared!  I know that in Ezekiel 9:6 God was referring to Jerusalem, but today because of what Jesus Christ did for us as Christians we too are God’s people – and shouldn’t God’s people know better?  America, the self-proclaimed Christian nation, is supposed to be setting the true Godly example for other nations – but instead we are setting an idolatrous example!  I Chronicles 16:26 and Psalm 96:5:  For all the gods of the people are idols:  but the Lord made the heavens.  

As in days of old, in these last days God will judge His people (Christians) first and then He will judge everyone else.  I Peter 4:17:  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God:  and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?  God does not call something a sin and then just change his mind because His people are partaking in it.  Sin is sin.  God is not going to allow sin regardless of who is doing it!  In this same way God cannot, and will not, call an idol or image ‘clean’ just because His people own it and want to call it holy; or put it in a holy place trying to make it appear holy.  Many Christians might not think this is important but God warns us repeatedly in the Bible how He feels about idolatry.  Scripture places “idolatry” at the same level as “witchcraft”, referring to them both as “works of the flesh”.  Galatians 5:19-21:  Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like:  of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.  This is God’s Word and we are without excuse!
