Shamanism is a false religious practice, and an extremely dangerous one that tries to spiritually yoke people with animals. Lycanthropy and Shamanism are very similar in that both of these false spiritual practices have the same damaging affect on the people who practice them. Lycanthropy is when a person believes they are a wolf, or werewolf. See dictionary; also see my document on ‘Lycanthropy or mental shape-shifting. Shamanism is the belief that a spirit can take the form of an animal – which it can, but it is an evil spirit. What people practicing these false religious methods may not realize is that Satan is the face behind the animal looking spirit(s). Satan has animal looking faces! People who practice Shamanism are calling Satan to be their spirit guide. A Shaman is a practicing witch doctor. Due to a person’s participation in this false religious practice evil spirit guides (who mimic real animals) are assigned to their future generations. This is a spiritually dangerous practice because what they do not know is that Satan, with his animal faces, can mimic real animals. See my document on ‘The Biblical description of a cherub’ for description of Satan’s animal faces – because Satan is a cherub! Practicing Shamanism has been known to drive people to madness. If you study Indian history you will find more information on Shamanism, which spiritually is a form of shape-shifting (lycanthropy). The false religion of ‘animism’ also falls under this same spiritual category. Animism is a false spiritual practice that teaches people to worship spirits in nature or in natural objects. See my document on ‘bear statues and amulets’ for information about animal spirit guides. Something you may no know is that tobacco is popular in Indian nature worship and it is no coincidence that bears and wolves (Shaman spirit guides) are pictured on tobacco products. Extra note: It is true that God’s Cherubim in heaven also have animal looking faces, but nowhere in scripture does it tell us that they ever leave God’s presence to come be our spirit guide. Nowhere in scripture does it tell us that they ever leave heaven at all. They are continually with God in heaven crying holy, holy, holy (Revelation 4:8)! Satan is the only Cherubim that has ever been sent away from Heaven (Luke 10:18). Also, see a very important note about false animal spirits in my document on ‘Cherub/Cherubim’.
If you do not think it is possible for anyone to believe they are an animal – or for anyone to actually take on the characteristics of an animal – then what about ‘feral children’? They are children who have gone wild like an animal. See dictionary for their meaning. There are documented cases of abused and abandoned children who have taken up with wild animals for survival. Due to a lack of human nurturing these children developed the characteristics of the particular animals in which they turned to. Today there are some people who have Statues and pictures that look part animal and part human. What they may not realize is, these items symbolize not only feral children – but they represent Shamanism and are accursed. Many times people are drawn to certain decoration not even knowing that it may be part of their own heritage. Unknowingly they are drawn to the images that represent the particular animal(s) assigned to them by their ancestors who may have practiced Shamanism. If a person’s ancestors ever assigned any false animal spirit guides to their generation then just by having the animal’s replica, or any other accursed Shaman images and statues, they reinforce the assignment. (This is not about real animals, the ones that God created. It is only about our man-made replicas!) Even after salvation, having or bringing accursed objects into our home will invite evil (generational patterns of iniquity) to visit our generation. Deuteronomy 7:26: Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shall utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing. Joshua 6:18: And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing lest ye make yourselves accursed when ye take of the accursed thing and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it. Deuteronomy 23:14: For the Lord thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee. II Corinthians 6:17: Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. To know which animal replicas (images and statues) are accursed avoid having any statues or images that are used by the Shaman or that are compared with Satan in scripture (such as a wolf, or snake); also avoid any replicas that have the same facial features as Satan. See Ezekiel 28:14 and Ezekiel Chapters 1 and 10 for Satan’s cherub title and description; also see my document on ‘cherubs’. It is no coincidence that images matching Satan’s description are very popular with false religions, and sadly even Christian religion. Many Shaman statues and images have the face of a man on one side and the face of an animal on the other side, or the top portion of the man’s head looks like an animal. Making statues and images that are a human and animal mixture was also an idolatrous practice of the ancient Egyptians (which is another reason we should not have these accursed images). People are not animals! It is an abomination for any person to try to assume the mental and physical characteristics of an animal. Extra note: A person who wears an animal skin for warmth is one thing; however, leaving the animal’s ears, eye sockets, teeth, claws, etc. in tact; or wearing the animal’s bones, teeth, or claws, around your neck is another thing all together – it is ritualistic. Scripture says that bones (this would include teeth and claws), or anything having to do with death belongs in the ground from where it came! Genesis 2:19: And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. Genesis 3:19: In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it was thou taken; for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. Ecclesiastes 3: 19-20: For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. Psalm 146:4: His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. DEAD ANIMAL PARTS DO NOT BELONG ON A LIVE PERSON’S BODY! Scripture tells us that people have dominion over animals; we do not wear their bones, teeth, or claws. Genesis 1:26-27: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. He does not tell us to wear a dead animal’s body parts. There are some things that God has given us common sense and discernment about. Mixing people and animals is a Shaman Indian practice! Every sin that a person should not do is not listed by name in the Bible; there is just not enough room to write every single sin down by name. For instance, the word pornography is not in the Bible but we know it is bad. There are things throughout history that certain people and tribes have done (people and tribes who did not serve the Lord) and our discernment, and our common sense, which God gave us should tell us not to follow after their practices. Deuteronomy 6:14: Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are around about you. Deuteronomy 12:30: Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee, and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? Even so I will do likewise.
As mentioned at the beginning of this document Shamanism is a false religious practice, and an extremely dangerous one that tries to spiritually yoke people with animals. Lycanthropy and Shamanism are very similar in that they both mix people with animals. Mixing people with animals has a damaging affect. The Bible even mentions a king who had a form of lycanthropy. In the book of Daniel it mentions a king who became so prideful that he thought he was the one ruling over his life and kingdom. Losing sight of God, the One who is really in charge of all life and creation, the king (though he was not an animal) actually took on the physical and mental characteristics of an animal (without the help of tattooing). He had a form of lycanthropy. Daniel 4:30-34: The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty? While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’s feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws. And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation. In The Westminster Dictionary of the Bible, Copyright, 1944, By The Westminster Press; it states that this king (Nebuchadnezzar) had a form of ‘Lycanthropy’: “The form of madness which he suffered when pride overthrew his reason was that called Lycanthropy, in which the patient fancies himself one of the inferior animals and acts as such. Nebuchadnezzar imagined that he had become an ox, and went forth to eat grass like other cattle”. Notice scripture says that when Nebuchadneezzar lifted his eyes up towards heaven his understanding returned to him, and only then was he healed from this madness!
In the false religious practice of Shamanism they believe uniting with one of God’s creations (animals/creatures/nature) is a way to interact with His Spirit realm – but this is a lie! Romans 1:25: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. The Greek word for creature in Romans 1:25 is ktisis, ktis’-is; creation, creature.
Our children are being taught to believe the lies of false religion, and are even being asked to participate in them. These lies are taught in our schools as exercise. Teaching our children how to mimic animals through false spiritual methods can, and will, put them in contact with evil familiar spirits!
Some American public schools are teaching the very young elementary age children a form of Yoga that is actually a Shaman spiritual practice. It is the Shaman method of mimicking animal sounds (i.e. hissing, growling, barking, etc) along with animal postures. This Shaman method of yoga is dangerous mentally and spiritually for any child (as is any form of yoga); however, if the child who is asked to participate in this Shaman method of yoga has ever had ancestors who actually practiced Shamanism then the spiritual affect on the child will be much worse. Due to the child’s participation in this false religious method they may be spiritually reconnecting generational chains of iniquity. The negative spiritual affect increases with each generation that participates in this or any other false religion.
A school in Michigan taught children the Shaman practice of mimicing the gait of animals. The gait is how the animal walks or moves. Through Yoga the children were taught to imitate animal movements and sounds. The following quotation about this school comes from Time Magazine (February 19, 2001 edition; page 61). “The instructor teaches them to become sleeping doggies, lions and snakes before the 45-minute session is over. They will walk on their hands and feet with their butts in the air, balance on one leg and sit chanting, Om”. In the false Hindu religion of Yoga it is believed that the world was created by the ‘Om’ sound. “Similar menageries are sprouting up across the country… Covered in woven blankets, they lie on their backs with their eyes closed while the CD Tao of Healing plays in the background”. Taoism is a false religion. “Envision a cloud floating down next to you, says their teacher. Envision a place that brings you happiness. It might be a zoo, a garden or a beach. Go on a journey, and I’ll tell you when to come back”. Italics and underlining are added for emphasis. What parents do not realize is that the journey their children are going on is called “out of body” or “astral projection” – and it is extremely dangerous mentally and spiritually!
In the practice of Shamanism they study the gait of different animals in order to understand and become like them. Shamans also believe they can communicate with animals! The Shaman method of communicating with animals is the same method that is used by ‘pet psychics’. They are not actually communicating with animals, but with evil spirits! What about the popular movies out today where people are supposedly talking with animals? What message does this give to our children? How far are these methods really taking a child’s mind into a deceiving spiritual realm? Will this open a spiritual door in their life for evil visitation, especially if their own ancestors ever practiced Shamanism? The answer is, yes!
By teaching our children Yoga (Sanskrit meaning of yoga is to yoke) they are learning the old Shaman practice of becoming one (uniting) with an animal – yoking or bonding with that animal spiritually. In actuality they are uniting our children with evil spirits who resemble animals – remember according to scripture (Ezekiel 28:14-15)Satan is a cherub and has the likeness of animal faces! See very important note in my document on ‘Cherubs’ concerning the subject of animals not having a spirit! By teaching our children to mimic animals they are also introducing our children to the practice of Lycanthropy. Most children will naturally pretend to be an animal; but having a teacher to instruct a child how to pretend to be an animal through false religious methods is another thing entirely! Through the practice of Yoga the school system is teaching our children to yoke, bond, unite, or become one with all nature – including animals.
It is not just the school system, but children’s fairy tales are teaching our children to unite with animals. What about the very popular children’s show “Beauty and the Beast”? It promotes and encourages Lycanthropy. It teaches our children to romantically fall in love with animals. It is a variation of what the Bible warns against. People do not normally fall in love and unite with animals. I know that the beast in ‘Beauty and the Beast’ was really supposed to be a man, but the character Belle did not know that when she fell in love with him! She fell romantically in love with the animal. What message are they giving our children through this popular children’s show? And what about how the man turns into an animal (beast)! This is a form of Lycanthropy, a very dangerous belief. Several years ago there was a television series called ‘Beauty and the Beast’. In the television series the beast and his wife were supposed to have had a baby together – which implied a sexual act – this is an abomination! A human and an animal cannot have a baby together, and it goes directly against scripture to even insinuate this! It is causing confusion with our children. Leviticus 18:23: Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion. Myths are not real but represent fantasy, and with shows like Beauty and the Beast exactly what are they inspiring our children to fantasize about?
In Native American lore, and some other false religions, false animal spirit guides are used to contact the spirit world (a Shaman practice). However, what they are contacting through these false spirit guides is an evil spirit world that is full of deception. False animal spirit guides are assigned by families practicing these false religions as protectors. These animal protectors are even displayed on their family totem poles. Isaiah 44:19: …shall I fall down to the stock of a tree? People who practice nature worship are unaware that they are not really assigning God’s original creation to their family but are assigning evil familiar spirits portraying themselves as God’s animal creations. (Note: This is not against any race of people, or any of God’s animals, but only against the worship of false gods through nature or man-made (manufactured) images of God’s original creatures/creation. Romans 1:23, 25: And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and tobirds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. To worship does not mean you have to bow or pray to something it means to have love, admiration, devotion and respect for someone or something – which is why people have, and make, religious objects in the first place.) Evil spirits, posing as animals, attempt to create strongholds in the life of those they are assigned to in an effort to infiltrate their mind. They begin by tempting a person to have an unnatural attraction for particular animals until the person creates a fetish for this animal. Some even feel as if they can relate or become one with the animal and will even decorate their house with its likeness. They have an unholy tie to this animal. They feel less human and more animal like. Some will go to the extreme and have themselves tattooed to resemble this animal. While others may not go to that extreme they will actually mimic the animal during sexual relations or during fits of rage. It has been my experience that people who have bear statues and amulets can become extremely aggressive and will explode into fits of rage. They will act like an angry bear. Not only with bear statues and amulets but also wolf, leopard, and lion. Daniel 7:5: And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it. Arise, devour much flesh. Revelation 13:2: And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him power, and his seat, and great authority. Note: To an Indian who worships nature the bear claw is a supposed ‘symbol of power’; and a bear statue or amulet with a jagged ‘heart line’ painted or carved on it supposedly symbolizes long life – these false beliefs are wives tales and witchcraft. Any time a person has an unusual or unnatural attraction for a particular animal it is possible that their ancestors may have spiritually assigned this false animal spirit to them as their spirit guide. Some may regularly see this animal in their dreams. The animal itself is not the problem it is Satan and his evil spirits posing as the animal, or the man-made replicas of the animal that are attracting the person to have an unnatural affection for it. Having man-made replicas of God’s original creations can, and does, open spiritual doorways for Satan and his evil spirits to infiltrate our homes and our thoughts. If anyone reading this feels they may be drawn to a particular animal, and that something is just not right about their attraction to this animal then I would get rid of anything in your home that bears its likeness. This does not include your real living animals. Satan is not the creator of living animals he can only hide behind our man-made likenesses.
Very important: Many people do not realize that God’s living animals do not even have a spirit. They have a body and soul, but not a spirit. In order to have a ‘spirit’ one must be rational – and animals are not rational beings. When referring to any spirit the Hebrew word for ‘spirit’ in the Old Testament is “ruwach, roo’-akh; …breath… exhalation… life… by resemblance spirit, but only of a rational being…air…blast… mind… wind”. The Greek word for ‘spirit’ in the New Testament is “pneuma, pnyoo’-mah; a current of air, i.e. breath (blast) or a breeze…a spirit, i.e. (human) the rational soul… life… mind”. Animals have a ‘soul’ (heart, mind, emotions, appetite, etc) but they cannot think rationally. The Hebrew word for ‘soul’ in the Old Testament is “nephesh, neh’-fesh; a breathing creature, i.e. animal… beast”. The Greek word for ‘soul’ in the New Testament is “psuche, psoo-khay” and the Greek terms “exactly correspond respectively” to the Hebrew. Though God’s real animals are understanding they were not created with a rational thinking mind. Real animals, as we know them, are not spirit beings – and real animals do not come to us in spirit form. However, Satan and his evil spirits can! Satan who is a cherub, as described in the Bible, has the likeness of animal faces but he is not an animal (as we know them). Proof of Satan’s animal likeness is found in God’s word. Ezekiel 28:13-17; Ezekiel 1:3-10; and Ezekiel 10:14-22. Be assured that if something comes to you in spirit form pretending to be a real animal it is not a real animal but a spiritual deception of Satan!
If either you or your ancestors have been influenced by, or have ever practiced Shamanism (knowingly or unknowingly) please say the following prayer and throw out all Shaman décor. SHAMANISM IS A VERY DANGEROUS FALSE SPIRITUAL BELIEF!
Please pray:
Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth (the true Messiah), I confess to you my sin of rejecting you (by not following your commandments). I also ask that you would forgive my family for rejecting you and teaching me to do the same. I ask forgiveness for the abominations I have committed, including the abominations I have brought into my home, because I did not know the truth about your Word (the Bible). I apply the blood of your Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ to my life and the lives of all present and future generations in my family. I ask you to destroy all evil assignments against us. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I also ask you to stop and destroy every evil assignment against my children on my spouse (or ex-spouse’s) side of the family. Through my faith in Jesus Christ I believe that all evil assignments against my generation and future generations have been cancelled. It is my prayer that from this day forward my entire family will make a decision to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and never reject Him or His commandments! Amen.
Isaiah 61:1-4 (also Luke 4:18-19): The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
