Just as the Egyptians had their falcon god Horus, America has their eagle.  The eagle (or in particular the eagle's likeness) is being used as our spiritual and national symbol of reverence, but this was never God’s intention.  In America we use the eagle's image along with the phrase "catch the spirit”.  Did you know that in Indian false religion they believe they can see through the eyes of the eagle when they are in a trance-like or meditative state?  Of course this is only Satan playing tricks with them but they do not know that.  While they are in this trance-like state Satan is taking them spiritually into his realm of deception.  We had better be very careful of how we are taking animals out of the original context of which God intended.  Satan is a deceiver and he himself, being a cherub, has the likeness of animal faces (including the eagle's face).  See Ezekiel 28:12-15 for confirmation that Satan (Lucifer) was created as a cherub, and see Ezekiel Chapters 1 & 10 for cherub description.  Using nature as a spiritual mediator is unscriptural and is spiritually deceiving.  It is important to note that this is not against any race of people, or any of God’s animals, but only against the worship of false gods through nature or man-made (manufactured) images of God’s original creatures/creation.  Romans 1:23, 25:  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever.  Amen.  The Greek word for ‘creature’ in Romans 1:25 is “ktisis, ktis’-is; …creation, creature”.  Hebrews 11:3:  Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.  The New Living Translation reads:  By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.  Nature did not create itself – and nature is not to be used as an object of worship!  Note:  To worship does not mean you have to bow or pray to something; it means to have love, admiration, devotion and respect for something or someone – which is one reason why people have, and make, religious objects in the first place.  People throughout history have committed ‘spiritual adultery’ against God with many different images and practices.  This is why God warns us in scripture against making any images or icons as a symbol of reverence, including winged birds.  Deuteronomy 4:16-17:  Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female.  The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air.  New Living Translation reads:  So do not corrupt yourselves by making a physical image in any form – whether of a man or a woman, an animal or a bird.  The Hebrew word for ‘similitude’ in Deuteronomy 4:16 (OKJV) is “tem-oo-naw’; …something portioned (i.e. fashioned) out, as a shape…image, likeness”.  

Think about the pride America has for its eagle image.  We even place the eagle’s image on top of a pole with the American flag (stars and stripes) hanging under it.  Now let’s compare it to the following scripture.  Obadiah 1:4:  Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, then will I bring thee down, saith the Lord.  Based on this scripture we get a clearer picture of where America might be heading if we do not repent.  In America we may think we are too big to be judged by God, but even Egypt was judged because of their false gods and practices!  Isaiah 19:1-4:  The burden of Egypt.  Behold, the Lord rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt:  and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.  And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians:  and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.  And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof:  and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.  And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the Lord of hosts.

We refer to the eagle’s likeness as the ‘spirit of America’, but whose spirit is that?  It is not God’s Spirit (the Holy Spirit).  Better yet, whose face resembles the eagle’s face?  Remember, another face of Satan is the likeness of an eagle.  As mentioned previously, see Ezekiel 28:12-15for confirmation that Satan (Lucifer) was created as a cherub, and see Ezekiel Chapters 1 & 10 for cherub description.  Based on the Biblical description of Cherubim found in Ezekiel we should consider this an accurate description of Satan.  Satan lost his position, not his description – he still has the likeness of an eagle.  If our revered American eagle image/icon (which we refer to as the ‘spirit’ of America) had anything whatsoever to do with God’s Holy Spirit then I can guarantee you it would not be allowed in our Governmental Institutions, because God and His Word (who is Jesus Christ) are not allowed.  Isaiah 30:1:  Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin.  Something many Americans may not know is the falcon, a cousin to the eagle, was the bird used to symbolize the spirit of Egypt.  It symbolized the false Egyptian god they called Horus.  If you look at pictures of Horus you will find that it resembles and is positioned exactly the same way the eagle (its likeness) is on our American currency.  Even the eye above the pyramid on our currency is the same spiritual eye the Egyptians worshipped as the ‘all seeing-eye of Horus’.  An eagle symbol (positioned exactly like the Egyptian falcon god Horus) is on the floor and the ceiling of the White House in Washington D.C. – which is the high place of our Nation’s authority.  Reinforcing America’s pride in this pagan animal symbol.  II Kings 17:29:  Howbeit every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places…  Our Nation’s leadership must turn away from the gods of paganism and turn to the One and Only True God, and His Son Jesus Christ, or our nation is in trouble.  We have grieved God by placing the Egyptian pyramid and the eye of Horus on our nation’s currency, along side an eagle image whose stance is identical to Horus; and then we have written “in God we trust” between them.  This is an abomination!  I understand that we must use the currency provided by our nation in order to pay our bills, but we should at least know the pagan background of its false spiritual symbolism.  Jesus and his apostles too had to use the money provided in their day to buy food and pay for other necessary items – but they neither reverenced it, or its symbolism!  Matthew 22:17-21:  Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou?  Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not? But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?  Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny.  And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?  They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.  (This same scripture is also found in Mark 12:14-17 and Luke 20:22-25)  Writing in God we trust on America’s pagan currency is an abomination!  By knowing the truth about our nation’s symbolism we see how urgent it is that we pray for those who are in authority.  I Timothy 2:1-4:  I EXHORT therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

It is certainly no coincidence that one of America’s most revered symbols/icons has the same likeness as one of Satan’s faces.  Americans will fight hard for the revered eagle symbol, but will not fight at all for God and His commandments.  America murders children made in God’s image every day through abortion, referring to the child as just a fetus or some tissue.  But, if someone kills an eagle or its fetus (the egg) then it is called murder and they are placed in prison.  In America we believe we have put God first but our idols and our actions prove otherwise!  American people are slowly having their conscience seared by allowing, and many times encouraging, God’s commandments to be broken on a daily basis – especiallyExodus 20:3; Deuteronomy 5:7:  Thou shalt have no other gods before me and Exodus 20:13; Deuteronomy 5:17:  Thou shalt not kill.  In America we have broken God’s first commandment and in doing so we continue to break the rest.  America is supposed to be a Christian nation which claims they love God, yet will no longer fight for God or His commandments.  We will fight for our national images and icons, and fight to protect the animal that our national icon represents – but will not fight for God or the little babies (made in His image) who are being murdered every day through abortion.  Deuteronomy 5:17:  Thou shalt not kill.  Deuteronomy 5:29:  O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!  Do we really think we can continue on this path, and that God will protect America and our freedom?  Just look at what we are doing with our freedom!  We can talk about God all we want in America, but according to scripture we really do not know (or love) Him if we are not following His ways, His commandments, and especially His Son Jesus Christ!  John 14:15:  If ye love me, keep my commandments.  John 14:21:  He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.  I John 2:3-5:  And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.  He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.  But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected:  hereby know we that we are in him.
