Owl statues/amulets
The owl too is one of God’s creatures and is not of itself evil. It is our own man-made images; which are not God’s creations, but our own creations, that take the owl out of the context which God intended. The image of the owl has a dangerous and spiritually false connotation, which many Christians do not realize. In the following you notice that the Hebrew meaning of the word owl (taken from Isaiah 34:14) is Liyliyth or lee-leeth. The Hebrew word ‘owl’ in Isaiah 34:14 is “Liyliyth, lee-leeth’; a night spectre, screech owl”. On ancient Babylonian artwork you will find the original female winged image, with owls sitting at her feet – and her name was Lilith. Her ancient Babylonian image can be found on the internet, just type in Babylonian Lilith. Today, Christians now refer to her more modern image(s) as a ‘lady angel’ – which is false and is un-Biblical! Today her name and image continue to be reverenced at Lilith Fairs.
The owl is associated with seduction. There are even T-shirts today with the owl’s eyes where the breasts are. I hate to put it bluntly but today they even call ladies breasts “hooters”. This is no coincidence!
I believe that having owl statues and images will also interfere with our Spiritual sight as well as our physical sight. Owls are known for their eyes. If people are having problems with looking at things they shouldn't then having an owl image in their home would make that temptation greater! Also God gives us Spiritual eyes to see the things he is showing us. I believe having a man-made owl statue/image in our home or wearing an owl amulet would interfere with our ability to see what God is trying to show us.
*Very important, see my documents under ‘Lilith’. Also, see my comment about real animals and how real animals do not have a spirit; Biblical proof of this is found in my document on ‘Cherub/Cherubim’.
